An Alberta Certificate of Status is obtained from the Alberta government. It can sometimes be called a Certificate of Compliance or a Certificate of Good Standing. Any company incorporated in Canada can obtain a certificate of status for its jurisdiction. In Alberta they are called Certificate of Status.

You may need to order an Alberta Certificate of Status when some other company or government office requests you to provide proof your Alberta company is in compliance with all of its filings and statute requirements.

Being in good standing means that the company is still active and has not been dissolved for non-filing of federal and/or provincial tax returns or non-filing of the Alberta annual returns. The Alberta Corporate Registry sends out the Alberta annual return to the registered office address for the company each year and if the address is not correct then it is possible that the Alberta company could be in default of filing if it does not receive and file the return.

An Alberta Certificate of Good Standing will also show the proper of the name of the company, the Alberta Access Number assigned to the company upon incorporation and the date of incorporation in Alberta.

If the Alberta company has not filed its Alberta annual returns the Alberta Certificate of Status will not be cleared. It is best to know in advance that all of your filings have been done because the Alberta Certificate of Status will be issued regardless and it will say the company is not in good standing. If your company has not filed its tax returns for awhile then the Alberta Corporate Registry might dissolve your company and then you would not get a favourable Alberta Certificate of Status. It is important to try and ensure your company is in good standing before you order the certificate.

A Certificate of Status is not an Alberta corporate search. If you are trying to determine information about an Alberta company you should have an Alberta corporate search done rather than ordering a Certificate of Status.

Resources for Canadian Business Owners can assist you with an Alberta Corporate Search, Alberta Alberta Registrations and other legal and government filings and registrations.

Looking to rent an apartment in Mississauga is quite easy if you take the appropriate steps. Even though you will only be staying there for a short period of time, it’s imperative that you find the perfect fit. Short term leases are utilized for various reasons that range from waiting on a new home to purchase to travel to the Mississauga area for business purposes. Unfortunately there are several places that won’t offer short term rentals, which means you have to do a little research. This way you can weed out the rental properties that won’t even be considered.

The best way to conduct your search is through the use of rental websites or an apartment locator. Each option will give you the opportunity to find the best deals in the Mississauga area. One thing to consider though is if you look at the rental websites online, you’re going to be doing all the work. If you choose a locator the only thing you have to worry about is whether or not you like the places he or she presents you with during their search. Their job is to work day and night to please clients (you) and find the perfect Mississauga short term rental you need.

Doing the Research

Okay, eventually your locator is going to find you a few different options that fits your criteria. It’s going to be your job to do the research on each one and figure out which one interests you. During this process you should check any reviews you can find that covers customer service, how attentive the landlord is, and whether or not it’s a place that needs to be purchased. There are many other things as well, but the point is you just have to make sure all your needs are covered by the time you make a decision.

Reading reviews will help you narrow your search down to just a few rentals in most cases. This is when you’ll want to tour the properties you have in mind. While on tour, pay attention to how the staff conducts themselves, pay attention to the cleanliness and upkeep of the property and also pay attention to how happy the tenants you observe seem to be.

In the end, those who are observant will be able to find the short term rental they are looking for in Mississauga. Even if it’s a temporary stay you want it to feel like home as much as possible.

Here, the woman antagonist normally pays this bearded guy to investigate on something. And if the poor guy flunked, he usually gets a tsunami of maledictions and whippings. Such an unfair and poor portrayal! Well, he is not as bad as what his beard connotes; he is in reality none other than, our Private Investigator (P. I.). We commonly loathe on these guys for siding with the villains, but actually, the media is not just a narrator in explaining who a real P.I. is. So now, as our T.V. mates (a.k.a. family) chew their pop-corns and watch how the investigator finds pertinent data, let us put our eyes on the investigator himself.

Do you have this inexplicable hatred to the bearded guy hired by the villainous woman (with an equally villainous laugh) in soap operas? Here, the woman antagonist normally gets this bearded guy to investigate on something. And if the poor guy flunked, he usually receives a tsunami of maledictions and whippings. Such an unjust and mean characterization! Well, he is not as bad as what his beard connotes; he is in reality none other than, our Private Investigator (P. I.). We normally loathe on these guys for siding with the villains, but actually, the media is not just a raconteur in explaining who a real P.I. is. So now, as our T.V. mates (a.k.a. family) chew their pop-corns and watch how the investigator finds relevant data, let us put our eyes on the investigator himself. Let us cut the fuss and be investigators ourselves.

Investigators, unlike how the media portrays them, are not composed of a one-man band. They are commonly a squad of individuals that come from various fields of expertise. They include policemen, attorneys, medical practitioners, and forensic anthropologists. We are already quite familiar with the three professions enumerated so we will just concentrate on the last one, the forensic anthropologist. In a nut-shell, forensic anthropologists specialize on corpses. They are the experts when it comes to that “cold” subject. They learned about these dead subjects not only in their classrooms but mostly in fields. That is why these investigators are not all used to sedentary and boring lectures; they are more into action! This is the reason why brooding has been a pursuit to them; their experiences on the field let them breathe courage everyday. At the end of the day, they may still look like typical guys but beware; their talent are just outrageously awesome!

Our Forensic Anthropologists do not work in an 8 am to 5 pm work period. As I have said earlier, their atelier is located on where arcane corpses lay. Though they are not usually wearing a gentle-looking coat and tie, their work are not done in a careless manner. Their hands should always be in cogitation. One ataxic moment and boom! The precious bone might be destroyed. So rummaging has been deleted from their dictionary; gentleness has been the mantra (so as not to destroy any necessary bone). After the nerve-wracking process of digging bones (if ever they are buried), the next step is careful examination. The next steps are just equally perspiring: identification of age, race, stature, sex, and time interval of death. After this tiresome procedure, the piece of paper bearing all these particulars will now be handed to another member of the “band” (of Private Investigators).

If at this point you quit your research about private investigators and presume that their job is easy, then you are definitely left behind on our investigation. It is because you have not yet heard of the “perks” of being one. And these “perks” include one of the following:

1) Work period is indefinite; it last till you see the body/bones;

2) Eureka moments are oftentimes preceded by sleepless nights on locations with bugging mosquitoes;

3) If things loose control, you are not excused from casual raids;

And finally, when you believe the job will not get dirtier, here is another perk:

4) Trauma may also attack you after being able to decipher how one was killed.

But then, you will also get desensitized. The latter is definitely a perk, as far as private investigation is concerned.

When you cross this seemingly end point of your investigation, then you are still left behind. It is because you have not seen them yet as an important being in real-life cases, as heroes. Yes, they also save the day with their courage and helping hand. So the next time that we see an investigator (bearded or not) in TV, let us give them justice. They may not be around when the enemy is finally defeated, but in real life, they are heroes behind the curtains.

At this point, the case is closed.

Discover more about Private Investigators or also known as Private Detectives and see how they can help you with your seemingly impossible to solve problems!

Mortgage Fraud in Indiana: It Isn’t Worth It

News headlines have been talking about mortgage fraud quite a bit lately, both right here in Indiana as well as in the national news. Because of the current housing crisis that the country is in, many people point to “mortgage fraud” as being on the main contributing factors that put the country in crisis. And while it may seem a little too late, enforcement agencies such as the FBI are starting to crack down on mortgage fraud.

From The FBI Website:

Mortgage Fraud is investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and is punishable by up to 30 years in federal prison or $1,000,000 fine, or both. It is illegal for a person to make any false statement regarding income, assets, debt, or matters of identification, or to willfully overvalue any land or property, in a loan and credit application for the purpose of influencing in any way the action of a financial institution. Some of the applicable Federal criminal statutes which may be charged in connection with Mortgage Fraud include:

18 U.S.C. § 1001 – Statements or entries generally

18 U.S.C. § 1010 – HUD and Federal Housing Administration Transactions

18 U.S.C. § 1014 – Loan and credit applications generally

18 U.S.C. § 1028 – Fraud and related activity in connection with identification documents

18 U.S.C. § 1341 – Frauds and swindles by Mail

18 U.S.C. § 1342 – Fictitious name or address

18 U.S.C. § 1343 – Fraud by wire

18 U.S.C. § 1344 – Bank Fraud

42 U.S.C. § 408(a) – False Social Security Number

Mortgage Fraud in Indiana: It Isn’t Over

Believe it or not, mortgage fraud is still happening right here in Indiana. No matter what, the single biggest help that you can be to authorities is to let them know if you are aware of anyone or any company that may be in violation of the above laws. If you or someone you know has witnessed any type of mortgage fraud, be sure to contact the FBI.
